Guard ID $1,000,000 Guarantee
Our Guarantee is simple. If, while you are an ID Vault customer, someone steals your online financial account credentials and subsequently uses those credentials to access your financial accounts online and steal money from you, we will reimburse you for any and all amounts stolen from you, up to a maximum of $1 million. We proudly provide this guarantee because we are so confident that ID Vault provides reliable identity theft protection that completely safeguards your online finances.

To be protected by our guarantee 1) You must register ID Vault with us as per the registration guidelines in the install process, 2) You must use ID Vault every time you access your personal online financial accounts online, and 3) You must maintain a current subscription to the ID Vault service.

Guaranteed identity theft protection from ID Vault is available to all active customers as described above. There are no additional fees required to exercise our Guarantee.

Your request for reimbursement must not be fraudulent, and you must inform us of the loss event, in writing, within 14 days of first learning of it, or within 30 days of the incident.

How the Guarantee Works:
If an unauthorized person misuses your online account access credentials to steal money from your account at a financial institution that is included in our Trusted Network, and you have been exclusively accessing that account using your ID Vault, we will do the following:
  1. We will immediately, upon notification, launch an investigation into the theft and subsequent claim.
    • As part of this investigation, you must forward to us any and all written records for the specific breached account(s) and issue a formal statement as to the nature of the loss.
    • You will authorize us to work with you to request from the financial institution all account access information for the 90 day period preceding the specified breach.
    • We will compare account access verification information on your ID Vault with that of the financial institution to ensure that your ID Vault was used exclusively for online access to said account(s).
  2. Should we determine that the account was exclusively accessed online using ID Vault prior to the theft of your account credentials, we will reimburse any direct loss, up to $100,000 per individual account and up to a maximum of $1,000,000 over the lifetime of your ID Vault subscription and subsequent renewals.
  3. If the financial institution subsequently reimburses you directly for the loss, you agree to assign the payment to us up to the amount that we may have already reimbursed and/or advanced to you as reimbursement for the financial loss.
  4. The Guarantee will not apply if we determine that the unauthorized activity was caused by your fraudulent conduct or gross negligence. If you have misrepresented the nature of the claim in any way, you agree to reimburse us for all amounts advanced and direct expenses incurred in connection with the claim.
  5. This Guarantee is only valid if you use ID Vault exclusively for online access to your financial accounts. Access to your accounts by you or any related parties or authorized individuals who do not use a registered ID Vault with an active subscription to access the accounts renders this Guarantee null and void.
  6. This Guarantee applies only to individual and/or personal financial accounts. All other types of accounts are expressly excluded.
  7. This Guarantee does not apply to fraudulent access to your financial accounts via means other than online access. It does not cover incidents involving stolen ATM cards or credentials.
  8. For the Guarantee to be valid, you must notify your financial institution of the unauthorized account activity as quickly as possible and take all steps to limit further unauthorized access to your account. The Guarantee does not cover additional or increased losses that result from your failure to report unauthorized activity to your financial institution in a timely manner.
